OUR INAUGURAL BIO

Update from Jennifer on 7-31-07:
I have been married since June 93 to David Stidham. I don't know what to say about him besides that he is wonderful. I will think of something more substantial later.
I was going to NMSU when I met my husband (cruising El Paseo!). He was an Army MP stationed White Sands. We got married the next summer and we lived on post (White Sands Missile Range) until his service time was up in 1995.
We moved to Muskegon, Michigan where I finally finished my degree in 1998, graduating from Western Michigan University.
In 1998, we moved back to Abq to take care of my mom for a while. While there, we had 3 foster kids (you saw them at the 10 year reunion if you were there). They lived with us for a year. When they went home, there was nothing keeping us in NM at that point so we decided to move. We chose Florida.
We moved to Orlando in 2000 where I started working with Travelers insurance.
My job with them moved us to Tampa in 2005. (Our poor little house in Orlando was hit by Hurricanes Charley, Frances and Jean. :( )
In 2004, I started burning up a lot of airline miles traveling back and forth to Oklahoma to see my beautiful god-daughter Alisha. (You get 3 guesses as to who her Mommy is!) and then in 2006, the Southwest flight attendants and I were on a first name basis with the arrival of my second god-daughter, Aubrey. I finally figured out late in 2006 that instead of using up all my money and all my vacation going out to Oklahoma, I should just move there. So we did.
We arrived in Oklahoma City on March 5, 2007 and I lost my brother a few days later so our new life was put a hold for a little bit while we dealt with that. We arrived back in Oklahoma on March 18 and David and I both started working on March 19.
I am an office claims representative for Farmers Insurance. I basically take statements from people (all day long) about car accidents and I decide who is at fault. It is a little different than what I did with Travelers in Florida but the future is a great expanse on the horizon. I think that is about it in a nutshell.
I am toying with the idea of going back to school next fall but who knows. David and I are interested in adopting a child (or children) so that would be my first choice.
I forgot to mention my cats. Gizmo is 3 and Benjamin Matlock is about 6 months. (He just goes by Benjamin unless he is in trouble.)

Note from Jennifer regarding the above picture:
"How much do I have to pay to get you to switch out that picture of me on the website, where my face is down in the couch. I think that is Senior retreat at Danny's cabin isn't it? Ooh, i was so sick."
Note to Jennifer - Actually, it's at Gary's cabin. Send a replacement senior picture and this one is gone!

This is a pic of me and my husband at Raymond James stadium at a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.

The two pictures of me and Les are two I have hanging up at work and are my favorites. They were taken when she and her husband Marty came out to Florida in 2005. It had been a long day of theme-parkin' so we look a bit haggard. We talked a lot about senior trip that day.

The last picture is one of me in Viking garb. My husband and I are members of the Society of Creative Anachronism were we do Medieval recreation stuff.
